the idea of projecting

with my next tutorial we talked about the idea of projecting a digital image onto the body, representing the second skin. I loved the idea but I was worried about how I would execute it. We talked about how I was struggling to think of how I could put the idea into a new and innovative context and as fashion isn’t really my thing I wasn’t having much luck in finding something that I was keen to trial. So the idea of creating a digital image – something I love doing- and then projecting that onto the skin with no fabric needed was really interesting to me. The next step however was thinking about what kind of thing to project. I scanned all my drawings in and started playing around on Photoshop to see what I could create. Would I have to hire a projector was a question in my head as this was all new to me. How would the image come out what also a question I wanted to research? I researched into fashion projections and other artists who had experimented with this idea. It was all interesting stuff and hopefully will inspire me towards my project.
