Adding colour

Once I found a technique that I enjoyed and liked with the mirroring and overlaying I thought I would experiment with some of my other drawings that I had done. I took some of the coloured fine liner pen drawings that I had added water too and started to manipulate them on Photoshop in the same way. I loved how they turned out and experimenting with the effects and suggestions was an amazing way to play with the designs and see what different outcomes I could get out of it. Experimenting was really fun and I kept going and going, trying different combinations to see which worked out the best.

Increasing the saturation and the vibrancy made sure that when projected hopefully they would be bold and stand out and the colour wouldn’t fade. The colours were based on thermal imaging and I love how they look. Luckily I had quite a few to play with and so I could do a lot of experimenting. Although I loved the work I needed to next look at a way of combining both of them so that I could see a clear relation between these coloured pieces and the black mirrored ones as well.
