Using my laser cut acrylic, I began to think about how the projections
would sit and where I could see them on the body. I played around on a mannequin
just moving the shadows around and seeing what would happen. This was all
experimenting and sampling, and I found during this trial that I loved the cell
designs around the neck as almost a digital accessory. Researching into this
was interesting as there are artists who have also experimented with this kind
of technology.
The way the shadows stretched and fitted to the body was very
interesting and with a projection I could add colour. I did print some of the
cells I had drawn and added colour too onto acetate to see how this would react
when shining a light through it but the colours were very faint and the cells
lost their detail. Hopefully when they are projected it will solve this problem
and they will keep the vibrant colours.
