layering the images

To see what it would look like I started combining both the coloured overlays and the black ones, experimenting with the different effects I could achieve and just playing around with adding more layers, making it subtle and other things. This was one of my favorite things to do and I felt so inspired while doing it. It was a great was to combine both drawing styles into one piece and link them together. Doing these gave me a better sense of what the final outcomes might be like and after playing around, adding to them, changing the designs I started picking out some of my favorite ones to start developing them and creating more of a collection that were all amazing individual pieces but worked together and on their own.

These are just a small amount of different types of outcomes I got. I loved them all but I did think the ones that were so 'kaleidoscope' like fitted in with my project more. I wanted the audience to still be able to see that cells was the original inspiration for this project and although I really liked some of the more over layed ones I think they don't fit in with the clear theme as much. Maybe I will use them for something else in the future. 

I was so interesting the number of combinations that there was. Some worked and some didn't quite so much. I continued looking at the black overlays as well just to keep making different combinations that I could use.
